Year 2004 marks the 60th anniversary of the beginning of deportation in Hungary, one of the most tragic events in Hungarian history.

The Hungarian Jewish Association and United Philharmonic of Vienna with the support of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Budapest invite you to a world premiere of the symphony DER ZUG , commemorating the victims of the Second World War Holocaust.

The symphony was composed by  Austrian composer and conductor Richard Edlinger who himself will conduct this concert.

Maximilian Schell as a  narrator, together with prominent  soloists Judit Rajk, Adrian Eröd, Lászlo Fekete and  musicians of United Philharmonic Orchestra of Vienna will help express grief and solidarity through the universal language of music.

This special event will take place on Monday,  November 22, 2004. 19h in the Great Synagogue of Dohany utca, Budapest.
